Overview

This is a schedule of events needing to take place leading up to a Caudium 1.4 stable release, and leading into development of Caudium 2.0.

Caudium 1.3.x FREEZE	Friday 21st May 2004	Tuesday 1st June 2004	All new features for Caudium 1.4 that are not on the 1.4 outstanding issues list must stop. Work focuses on finishing 1.4 outstanding issues list.
Caudium 1.4RC1	Friday 25th June 2004	...	First Caudium 1.4 release candidate ships.
Caudium 1.4RC2	Friday 2nd July 2004	...	Second Caudium 1.4 release candidate, depending on user and developer response to Caudium 1.4 RC1.
Caudium 1.4RCx	...	...	Weekly Caudium 1.4 release candidate, depending on user and developer response to previous release candidate. Last release candidate release must be by Friday 30th July 2004.
Caudium 1.4 RELEASE	Monday 9th August 2004	...	Sign-off from Caudium leaders and release manager. Final release of Caudium 1.4 stable. No more active development of this branch, only ongoing bugfixes and Pike compatibility updates.
Caudium 1.9 Start	Friday 13th August 2004	...	New empty CVS/Subversion repository configured.
Caudium 1.9.0 CFP	Friday 27th August 2004	...	Corral design documents to date, publish on the Caudium site and publish a request for participation to several key websites and forums. Start implmenting a basic C++ skeleton, basic transaction dispatcher/message passing system, basic HTTP implementation.
Caudium 1.9TP1	Friday 10th September 2004	...	Caudium Technology Preview release for developers.
Caudium 1.9TP2	Friday 8th October 2004	...	Caudium Technology Preview release for developers.
Caudium 1.9TPx	...	...	Caudium Technology Preview release for developers. Every fourth friday until 1.9.x FREEZE.
Caudium 1.9.x FREEZE	Friday 3rd June 2005	...	Caudium 1.9 codebase feature freeze. Bugfixes only.
Caudium 2.0RC1	Friday 22nd July 2005	...	Caudium 2.0 release candidate for testers and developers.
Caudium 2.0RC2	Friday 29th July 2005	...	Caudium 2.0 release candidate for testers and developers.
Caudium 2.0RCx	...	...	Caudium 2.0 release candidate for testers and developers. Repeats every friday.
Caudium 2.0 RELEASE	Monday 29th August 2005	...	Caudium 2.0 stable RELEASE.
